Valerie Lim
National Director of Miss Universe Singapore OrganizationValerie Lim is the current National Director of the Miss Universe Singapore Organization, a progression from when she represented Singapore as Miss Universe Singapore 2011.
In 2021, she successfully placed Singapore's candidate in the top 16 semi-finals of the international Miss Universe competition - a feat that has not been done in 34 years.
Valerie has more than a decade of experience with digital marketing and brand management, from conceptualization to implementation. As a graduate of Psychology from the National University of Singapore (NUS), she leverages this unique insight with her vast experience in the media for her clients.
This serial entrepreneur started her entrepreneurial journey in the year 2013 and has also consulted for various start-ups in the e-commerce, food, and fashion industries.
Fresh from graduation, Valerie worked full-time with special needs and found her calling in enabling young minds. She currently also provides opportunities for women to further their 360 development through her role as the President of the Singapore Business and Professional Women's Association (SBPWA).
Jumaiyah M
Co-Founder, Halalfoodhunt; Founder & Director, Fifth Stage Co.Identified as one of Cleo Magazine’s Change Makers of 2018, Jumaiyah has developed Halalfoodhunt to be the leading app for halal food and loyalty pass in Singapore today. More than just a brand that helps people find and purchase halal food, Halalfoodhunt also continuously engages and educates its large audience about all things Halal. As a working mom to a 3 year old, she fiercely believes that work-life harmony is the way of the future for aspiring young women to have a wholesome fulfilling life with both personal and professional aspirations.To date, she has had several mentions in the media for her contributions in the halal food consumer and business space. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelors of Science (Chemistry), and a second major in Business Management in 2012.
Sophie Leung
Founder of Sophie Leung Co.Sophie is the Founder of Sophie Leung Co. and The Thriving Women’s Way, where she helps ambitious, capable professional women leaders to overcome anxiety and overwhelm to have more freedom, success and abundance in their lives through her signature system, Core Confidence Imprinting™.
Sophie is incredibly passionate about serving and healing others. Her main mission in life is to empower women to own their self-worth, voice, and authentic power to live a successful life based on their own terms. She serves both individuals and corporates in her own practice using different modalities.
She is a certified Hypnotherapist, Intuitive Life Coach, EFT Practitioner and Integrated Trauma Informed Coach. Prior to this, Sophie almost spent a decade in Relationship Management, Human Resources and Recruitment in renowned multinational corporations such as Citibank, HSBC etc.
Since young, Sophie has always known she wanted to serve people. So as a young corporate woman, she was driven to succeed in these renowned multinational corporations where she could serve others. However, Sophie felt a calling that is more impactful and purpose driven in the world. She then took herself through the process she now takes her clients through to reconnect to herself and her true purpose.
Sophie really enjoys mentoring young women through the National University of Singapore (NUS) and enjoys giving back to society.
Cheryl Tay
Founder of Rock The Naked TruthCheryl Tay first established herself in the world of cars and motorsports as one of the few female motoring journalists in Singapore. Cheryl has since expanded into the realm of sports and fitness, another passion she holds close to her heart.
She also founded Rock The Naked Truth, a body image movement, after battling eating disorders for nearly two decades. Rock The Naked Truth has been inspiring people since 2016 and has worked with government organisations, multinational companies, academic institutions and other societies and associations.
Currently, she is competing in Ironman triathlons and has qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship multiple times – something she never thought she would have done in her life, something she never thought possible.
Kanchana Vivekanandhan
Data Engineering Manager/Regional Analytics Lead at Meta at MetaKanchana is a Data Engineering & Analytics Leader at Meta. She has been in the data industry for the last 15 years. Engineer by trade, hustler by heart, dancer in spirit.
She previously co-founded a ride sharing marketplace. Diversity & Inclusion flag bearer and mother of 2 kids. She strongly believes in leading with empathy and vulnerability.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling solo.
