Joey Gan
Founder of JOMO StudioJoey Gan is one of the co-founders of JOMO Studio, a local vegan skincare brand. She has over 18 years of experience in the global luxury beauty industry, and started researching on natural ingredients when her daughter started showing similar eczema symptoms as hers after playing with her lipstick one day. In 2019, she started doing workshops to empower other people to make their own products and educate them on ingredients to use and avoid.
JOMO Studio uses plant-based ingredients with no animal testing, non-toxic and are parabens free. Their products are solid and refillable, with no plastic packaging to minimize one aspect of pollution, and a step towards zero waste.
Cheryl Ou
Founder of The Social SpaceCheryl Ou is the founder of social enterprises The Nail Social and The Social Space. A serial entrepreneur, she had dipped her feet into businesses across many industries when a bad experience with an investor led her to rethink her own motivations for running a business. Cheryl has now dedicated herself to creating meaningful companies that inspire and drive social change in our community.
The Nail Social is an award-winning local nail salon that provides vocational training to underprivileged women. While The Social Space features a Café and a fair trade retail area that promotes greater awareness for sustainability, and a platform of opportunities for differently-abled people to acquire skills and dignified employment.
Michelle Yip
Founder of AboochaMichelle Yip was involved in Financial Due Diligence and Valuation services in Singapore, with more than 7 years of experience in Restructuring, Merger & Acquisitions, Monitoring Accountant, Financial Investigation and Forensic services in Singapore and Malaysia.
She mentored 4 Food Tech related startups for SPACE-F FoodTech Incubator Program in partnership with Expara Ventures, Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, National Innovation Agency, and Mahidol University from Feb 2020 to Sep 2020. Space-F is the first and comprehensive global FoodTech startup incubator and accelerator of Thailand.
