Jael is the co-founder and Chief Possibilities Generator of My Working Title, a Career Design movement + organisation that inspires and empowers people to actively design their careers. Since 2017, their career design frameworks, tools and programmes have influenced 20,000+ people in 25+ countries. Their clients include MNCs, Government Organisations and Universities.

Seeing the need for career management in the fast changing career landscape, Jael advocates for people to design and develop their careers. She encourages people to tap on creativity, fun and communities to generate career possibilities and prototypes with knowledge and competencies in career management.

She has also spoken to thousands of people across different nationalities, age groups and professions on topics about societal, career and personal development. The audiences include government leaders in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, Principals and Vice Principals in Singapore, young leaders from all over the world.

Jael is a creative-analytic that fuses futures + design thinking + storytelling + people development to create solutions. She had experience in marketing communications and management consulting with clients such as P&G, HP and Singapore Government Technology Agency. She had also lectured in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and launched a youth entrepreneurship programme in Halogen Foundation Singapore.

She is also recognised as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF™) and a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS™) by the National Career Development Association in the United States. She is of the Nanyang Business School alumni where she holds a B. Bus (Hons) in Business Studies (Marketing Specialisation) from Nanyang Technological University.

She advocates for youth talent development in her volunteer work. Her favourite colour is orange and loves flavours, spices and salts.

As Vice President of Human Resources at Sephora Asia, Vanessa Iloste oversees the regional HR function that encompasses talent acquisition and management, totalrewards, business partnering, shared services, learning and development and HR tech and digital transformation.

She plays a lead role in the organisational design and talent strategy across 13 diverse markets in Asia Pacific, including China, Southeast Asia and Oceania. With over 21 years of experience across various Maisons in the LVMH Group, Vanessa started at LVMH Asia Pacific where she was instrumental in setting up the LVMH Asia Pacific Learning House, a learning and development program for all employees in the region. She subsequently transited to HR leadership positions at LVMH Watch and Jewellery and DFS. It was at LVMH Watch and Jewellery where she built the regional HR function from the ground up for 8 brands in 8 different locations.

At DFS, she led the Human Resources function for the Asia North Region, which consisted of
over 3,200 DFS employees spread between the Hong Kong Downtown Business District, Hong
Kong International Airport, Macau and Hainan. For her work in transformation at DFS, she was
awarded the HR Services Award by the Asian Transformation and Turnaround Association in
both 2014 and 2015.

After her appointment at Sephora Asia in 2017, Vanessa started the regional function from
scratch and was a key driver of the regional capability building. These leadership experiences
in Asia have shaped her into a globally fluent HR leader, with extensive knowledge and
understanding of the Greater China and Southeast Asia business context.
She continues to successfully lead and inspire a culture of inclusivity and diversity at Sephora,
where people make the difference.

Vanessa graduated from ESSEC Business School, Paris with a Master in Business Administration.
She currently lives in Singapore with her husband and two children. Writing is her hobby and
she is currently completing a story set in Hong Kong.
