Managing Director, Group Head of Institutional Banking at DBS Group

Su Shan is Group Head of Institutional Banking at DBS. She also serves as the President Commissioner for PT Bank DBS Indonesia. Prior to heading the institutional banking business, she was responsible for leading the group’s Consumer Banking and Wealth Management business for close to a decade.

Prior to joining DBS, Su Shan was Morgan Stanley’s Head of Private Wealth Management for Southeast Asia. She has also worked at Citibank and prior to that at ING Barings in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

The Asset named Su Shan as one of the six women in Asia who are likely to influence and feature prominently in shaping the banking and associated financial services industry in Asia in 2019. In 2018, she was nominated by Forbes Magazine as a “Top 25 emergent Asian Woman Business leader”. In the same year, she was also named “Retail Banker of the Year” by the Digital Banker in their inaugural Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards. She was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement” award at the WealthBriefingAsia 2018 Awards and the “Excellence Award” at Her Times’ Women Empowerment Awards 2018. Her Times’ Women Empowerment Awards recognises women who have contributed significantly to business, community, women empowerment and Singapore-Indonesia bilateral relations. In October 2014, Su Shan became the first Singaporean to be recognised as the world’s “Best Leader in Private Banking” by PWM/The Banker, a wealth publication by the Financial Times Group. From 2012-2014, she served as a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore.

Together with two founding partners, Shiao Yin directs The Thought Collective, a purpose-driven group whose mission is to help Singapore build up social and emotional capital. The Collective helps individuals and organisations develop the social and emotional competencies they need to support the cultural change they long to see in their systems.

Shiao-Yin supports this work as a cultural change strategist, systems thinker, graphically oriented process facilitator, executive coach and trainer. She loves helping large systems consider and prepare for a more collaborative and compassionate way of working together with diverse stakeholders through complex issues and volatile times.

Outside the Collective, she served as a two-time Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore. She also advises various committees and boards, shaping their approach towards rethinking social innovation, nurturing cultural values, developing human talent and strengthening national identity. She speaks regular on public platforms, sharing her experiences and insights on cultural narratives, the power of individuals in systems and the need for bridge-building.

Eu-Lin leads the Sustainability & Climate Change practice where she helps clients strategise, implement, report and obtain assurance across a range of climate change and sustainability issues. This includes but not limited to in the areas of carbon measurement, decarbonisation and net zero pathways, climate risk assessments, Sustainability Development Goals prioritisation and green and sustainable finance. She has worked in London and Singapore and served clients across financial services, government, real estate, marine, oil and gas, consumer, resources and telecommunications. Her experiences are across advisory, audit, governance and risk management.

Eu-Lin is a Singapore and Australian Chartered Accountant, is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. She is concurrently completing her Masters in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School focused on Climate and Sustainability subjects.

Eu-Lin serves on not-for-profit boards where she is a board member and Audit & Risk Committee Chairman of a healthcare related board and an international school. She is also the board member of an Institute of Higher Learning and the Deputy Chairman of its business school. She also serves with the People’s Associaiton.

Nurul Hussain (Founder of The Codette Project)

Nurul is a globally recognized community leader and non-profit founder. In December 2015, she founded The Codette Project. In 2018, she was selected as one of 115 global community leaders as part of Facebook's global Community Leadership Programme. In 2020, Nurul was selected as one of Singapore’s 100 Women in Tech by IMDA. She wants to create better communities, networks and opportunities, and to diversify what success means in society – to prove that success can look like anyone.

The Codette Project is a non-profit ground-up initiative that aims to get more minority/Muslim women into technology. The Codette Project is working towards long-term economic change for minority/Muslim women through developing tech skills, building a collaborative community as well as reclaiming narratives of success to include minority/Muslim women’s stories. The Codette Project runs classes, workshops, panels, networking sessions and social events regularly, including Singapore’s only women's hackathon.

Dr Ayesha Khanna (Co-Founder and CEO of ADDO AI)

Dr. Ayesha Khanna is Co-Founder and CEO of ADDO AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) solutions firm and incubator. She has been a strategic advisor on artificial intelligence, smart cities and fintech to leading corporations and governments. Ayesha serves on the Board of Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the Singapore government's agency that develops and regulates its world-class technology sector to drive the country's digital economy and power its Smart Nation vision. Ayesha is also a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Councils, a community of international experts who provide thought leadership on the impact and governance of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.

In 2017, ADDO AI was featured in Forbes magazine as one of four leading artificial intelligence companies in Asia and Ayesha was named one of South East Asia's groundbreaking female entrepreneurs by Forbes magazine in 2018. An accomplished and award-winning business executive, Feon is responsible for the strategic architecting, acceleration and expansion of business across the region. Having been with Linkedin for over six years, Feon has delivered consistent results, with a keen focus on driving great performance and revenue goals through strategy, sales and cross functional collaboration.

Feon has a demonstrable track record of more than 25 years in formulating business strategy, driving organizational transformation, process improvement, team building and profit/loss enhancement. Claire Wong is the Co-founder, Joint Artistic Director, and Producer of Checkpoint Theatre. She is responsible for the company's artistic vision, strategies and programmes, and oversees the company's business, operations and corporate governance. Established in 2002, Checkpoint Theatre is a company of multi-disciplinary storytellers who focus on creating and presenting original Singapore content with strong writing, performance and direction, across different media, disciplines and platforms.

A theatre professional for over 30 years, Claire is a director, actress, and producer for both the stage and the camera. She has received training in both Asian and Western performing arts and holds a Master of Fine Arts (Theatre Arts) from Columbia University. Claire has created and directed theatrical productions commissioned by the Singapore International Festival of Arts and other landmark Singapore productions. Her work has toured to international arts festivals.

Claire holds a law degree from National University of Singapore and practised litigation and corporate law. She worked at the law firms Allen & Gledhill and Helen Yeo & Partners in Singapore and Freehills in Sydney. Claire was Head of Corporate Communications and Training at Rodyk & Davidson (now known as Dentons Rodyk), Singapore’s oldest, and one of its largest, law firms. Claire is also the co-founder and Senior Consultant of Studio Wong Huzir Pte Ltd, which provides professional corporate training for senior management, and creative consultancy services.

Kamil Haque is the founder and Artistic Director of Haque Centre of Acting & Creativity (HCAC), Singapore’s first professional acting studio and Asia’s first centre to teach the preeminent Lee Strasberg’s method of acting.

As the only coach in Asia experienced in teaching the Lee Strasberg Method of Acting, Kamil has coached well over 2000 students, many of whom have appeared in major award-winning Hollywood films, stage productions, television shows and national commercials around the world. Prior to joining Twitter in 2014, Maya spent over 15 years in the digital media, mobile and eCommerce industries across the US and in Asia Pacific for brands such as Samsung, Google, Microsoft and Cisco. She was also responsible for launching and bringing Internet and mobile offerings to top tier publications such as Vogue, GQ and Condé Nast Traveller in Asia.

Maya serves as a board advisor of start-ups in Data Science & Commerce, as well as the ASX listed edu-tech company OpenLearning where she oversaw its IPO journey. She is also the Chairperson of TIE in Singapore (Non-Profit focused on fueling the entrepreneurial ecosystem).

Ms Yen Siow received a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) degree from Monash University and pursued further studies in Marketing at RMIT University Australia. From 2007 to 2015 Yen worked at Swinburne University of Technology as the Business Development Coordinator (Faculty of Business and Enterprise), Student Engagement Coordinator, Transition and Advancement Coordinator (Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology) and the Special Projects Coordinator for Digital Frontiers under Swinburne Research – developing outreach projects in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) for children and tertiary students.

She is passionate about providing equal access and opportunity for children to learn STEAM subjects in a hands on fun way and works with refugee children as well as disadvantage communities to support learning curriculum. Her Social Enterprise “Discovering without Borders” www.d-w-b.org has been providing online and face to face STEAM workshops for thousands of children in Asia and Australia since 2015.

She is also the co-founder of Technology without Borders – an Australian student driven group that looks to improve access and understanding by serving the greater community through technology.

After her post doc, she decided to move to the private sector gaining experience in several industries, namely FMCG, Telco and Finance. Before joining Standard Chartered, Sigrid was heading the data science team at Singapore Exchange, where she led the establishment and development of the data science, machine learning & visualization capabilities across the company. She is the author of two novels: Beauty Queens of Bishan (Penguin Random House SEA) and Nimita's Place (Epigram Books) which co-won the 2020 Singapore Literature Prize for English Fiction. Gwendolyn has spent 15 years living in the worlds of media and technology across Asia Pacific, Paris, and Silicon Valley. She's currently an intrapreneur at Facebook building a new programme focused on investors and startup acceleration.

Previously as an entrepreneur, Gwendolyn built and sold tech media startup, SGEntrepreneurs to Tech in Asia. She was also a founding team member of Thymos Capital, an early stage technology investment firm in Singapore. Gwendolyn spearheaded Mashable's expansion into Asia and as a professional host, she hosted a TV documentary on the Internet of Things for ChannelNewsAsia. She was also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at deep tech investment fund, Entrepreneur First.

These days, Gwendolyn spends her time exploring the question, “What is a good question?” through her project, OnQuestions.com.

Gwendolyn speaks 3.25 languages, and you can find her dancing or engaging in adventure sports. She's a certified rescue diver, has jumped off a plane twice, and almost fell to her death into an ice crevasse in Chile.

Pooja Nansi is the author of two collections of poetry, Stiletto Scars (2007) and Love is An Empty Barstool (2013). Her key performance work includes her one-woman show, You Are Here which explores issues of migration through personal family histories. She also wrote and performed Thick Beats for Good Girls with Checkpoint Theatre which opened in April 2018 and explored the intersections between feminism, identity and Hip Hop. She was a recipient of the Young Artist Award in 2016. She is also the co-founder of Other Tongues, a literary festival of minority voices. She teaches creative writing at Nanyang Technological University and is the current festival director of the Singapore Writers Festival.

She earned her PhD in History (2017) and MSc. in Asian Studies (2012) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Her research includes cinema, culture, and politics in postcolonial Southeast Asia, cultural history of the Cold War in Southeast Asia, and cultural discourses on education in Singapore. Before joining SMU in August 2018, she was a Research Fellow at Singapore’s National Institute of Education (NIE). Akshita Nanda trained as a molecular biologist and has worked in a research lab; as an editor of books; and as a correspondent for The Straits Times. She is currently completing a master's degree in international affairs at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. She is the author of two novels: Beauty Queens of Bishan (Penguin Random House SEA) and Nimita's Place (Epigram Books) which co-won the 2020 Singapore Literature Prize for English Fiction. Nimita's Place was also adapted for the stage in 2019 by T:>Works, and shortlisted for the 2019 Singapore Book Awards.

Gwendolyn has spent 15 years living in the worlds of media and technology across Asia Pacific, Paris, and Silicon Valley. She's currently an intrapreneur at Facebook building a new programme focused on investors and startup acceleration.

Previously as an entrepreneur, Gwendolyn built and sold tech media startup, SGEntrepreneurs to Tech in Asia. She was also a founding team member of Thymos Capital, an early stage technology investment firm in Singapore. Gwendolyn spearheaded Mashable's expansion into Asia and as a professional host, she hosted a TV documentary on the Internet of Things for ChannelNewsAsia. She was also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at deep tech investment fund, Entrepreneur First.

These days, Gwendolyn spends her time exploring the question, “What is a good question?” through her project, OnQuestions.com.

Gwendolyn speaks 3.25 languages, and you can find her dancing or engaging in adventure sports. She's a certified rescue diver, has jumped off a plane twice, and almost fell to her death into an ice crevasse in Chile.

Sigrid is currently the Global Director for Data Analytics and Data Science for trade finance under the transaction banking division at Standard Chartered.
She moved to Singapore 12 years ago to finish her PhD in Statistics, jointly conducted at A*STAR (GIS) and Université Paris Sud. After her post doc, she decided to move to the private sector gaining experience in several industries, namely FMCG, Telco and Finance. Before joining Standard Chartered, Sigrid was heading the data science team at Singapore Exchange, where she led the establishment and development of the data science, machine learning & visualization capabilities across the company. Her current role is to establish and grow the data analytics capability and team for trade finance at Standard Chartered.

Ms Yen Siow received a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) degree from Monash University and pursued further studies in Marketing at RMIT University Australia. From 2007 to 2015 Yen worked at Swinburne University of Technology as the Business Development Coordinator (Faculty of Business and Enterprise), Student Engagement Coordinator, Transition and Advancement Coordinator (Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology) and the Special Projects Coordinator for Digital Frontiers under Swinburne Research – developing outreach projects in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) for children and tertiary students.
She is passionate about providing equal access and opportunity for children to learn STEAM subjects in a hands on fun way and works with refugee children as well as disadvantage communities to support learning curriculum. Her Social Enterprise “Discovering without Borders” www.d-w-b.org has been providing online and face to face STEAM workshops for thousands of children in Asia and Australia since 2015.
She is also the co-founder of Technology without Borders – an Australian student driven group that looks to improve access and understanding by serving the greater community through technology.

Claire Wong is the Co-founder, Joint Artistic Director, and Producer of Checkpoint Theatre. She is responsible for the company's artistic vision, strategies and programmes, and oversees the company's business, operations and corporate governance. Established in 2002, Checkpoint Theatre is a company of multi-disciplinary storytellers who focus on creating and presenting original Singapore content with strong writing, performance and direction, across different media, disciplines and platforms.
A theatre professional for over 30 years, Claire is a director, actress, and producer for both the stage and the camera. She has received training in both Asian and Western performing arts and holds a Master of Fine Arts (Theatre Arts) from Columbia University. Claire has created and directed theatrical productions commissioned by the Singapore International Festival of Arts and other landmark Singapore productions. Her work has toured to international arts festivals.
Claire holds a law degree from National University of Singapore and practised litigation and corporate law. She worked at the law firms Allen & Gledhill and Helen Yeo & Partners in Singapore and Freehills in Sydney. Claire was Head of Corporate Communications and Training at Rodyk & Davidson (now known as Dentons Rodyk), Singapore’s oldest, and one of its largest, law firms. Claire is also the co-founder and Senior Consultant of Studio Wong Huzir Pte Ltd, which provides professional corporate training for senior management, and creative consultancy services.

Clara is a designer and co-founder of in the wild, a Singapore based creative studio that likes to trek on the wild side of an adventure. She graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London and has honed her practice working across disciplines from fashion, stage to graphics, working with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Wallpaper* and Supermama.

She frequently collaborates with international artists such as Daisuke Yano (Japan), Shao Yen (Taiwan/London) and has exhibited her works as part of London Design Festival, Taiwan Design Expo, Singapore Art Week, UNESCO Puebla Festival and Salone del Mobile Milan.

Her works have garnered accolade from international media including Rolling Stones (Mexico), SHIFT (Japan), and she is awarded Forbes Asia 30 under 30 honoree for changing the face of the arts and culture industry and The Straits Times’ 30 rising stars of Singapore.
