As society grows more conscious of strengthening racial diversity and representation in Singapore, it is imperative to take a closer look at the perspectives of minority women against the backdrop of race. In particular, holding space for the intersecting identities of women. As part of YWLC's Diversity in Womanhood initiative, join us for a human library style event examining how we can push for greater support, representation and empowerment of minority women. We will hear from women leaders on how we can build a better understanding of diverse perspectives and to be more effective allies to minorities, a small but powerful step in striving for a more equitable, inclusive community.

The event will start with a short panel to introduce the speakers and topic. Participants will then have the opportunity to speak with our speakers in two breakout sessions (30 minutes each). This segment will be conducted human library style and we invite you to ask our speakers any questions you have on their experiences.

The topics that will be covered in each breakout room are as follows. While we will do our best to accommodate participants' preferences indicated at registration, allocation on the event day will depend on availability of slots.

Room 1 - Mdm Hazlina Abdul Halim: Diversity & Inclusion in the media

Room 2 - Devyani Dutt: Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace

Room 3 - Anthea Ong: Diversity & Inclusion in the social space

Room 4 - Faz Gaffa: Diversity & Inclusion in the home and family space
