Adulting is hard! Have you ever wanted someone around a similar age and experience to help you navigate through your career and life, especially as you transition into a new job or a different phase in life? YWLC is introducing its first Peer Mentorship Programme. This will be YWLC's first official platform for current members and alumni to interact and foster relationships through group mentoring.

Across a 10-month period, you will be matched with a group of peers to discuss issues top of mind for you. We refer to each group as a "learning pod" and we believe that everyone has something to give (be a mentor) and something to take (be a mentee). Participants will be able to benefit and learn from each other by relating and providing advice and insights.

If you have any questions, do reach out via email to partnerships@ywlc.org.sg

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and will close on 28 February 2023.

How the program works

Mentoring is a two-way street. We hope that participants will learn from each other. Participants will be assigned to learning pods between 5 to 7 people each, including a facilitator. Group allocation will be based on the goals, interests and industries specified in this registration form.

We will facilitate 6 sessions across a 10-month period starting in May 2023 ending March 2024. At the end of each session, there will be time for reflection and feedback. Feedback collected by the organising committee and will be used to improve subsequent sessions and also re-group if required.

There will also be a commencement and closing ceremony to bring all participants together to socialise and network.

Please take note of the following

The Peer Mentorship Programme is open to all but is ideal for working professionals.

Please note that registration is free but there will be a fee of $10 for all selected participants to cover both the opening and closing ceremonies. This fee will only be charged if and after you have been accepted into the programme. No fees are payable if you are not accepted. All learning pod sessions will be self-funded at a choice of space by the group.

All participants have to either be an existing YWLC member or an alumni member. Non-YWLC members may proceed to sign-up for YWLC membership here first: Become a Member | YWLC Singapore. Do note that if your membership lapses during the programme, you will be required to renew your membership to continue in the peer mentorship program activities.
